Our Purpose
The Forward Party is a new kind of political movement built for the 21st century—one that puts people over partisanship, solutions over slogans, and collaboration over division. We believe the future of our state depends on breaking free from the broken two-party system and building a government that truly works for the people of the Great North State. Our purpose is to build a viable, centrist third party in North Carolina to ensure that every voter has a real voice and real choices in our political system.

Build a sustainable, common-sense alternative to existing political parties that ensures government at all levels is responsive to the needs of everyday Americans. We support policies designed to balance individual rights, ethical treatment of all people, and the common good.
Our Vision
Our vision for North Carolina politics is simple: we want elections to be fair, voters to have more than two choices, political leaders to be accountable to the people and not party machines, and communities to be empowered to shape their own futures. We believe that in order for this vision to be achieved, we need a political system that is fair and offers voters real choices, a government of, by, and for the people to hold political leaders accountable, and a party that is member-centric, data-driven, and solution-focused when it comes to policymaking. Our process for achieving this vision is called the FWD Formula.
