Early Voting for the Greensboro Primary Begins September 18th. Here’s What You Need to Know
Leadership, safety, and community—why this election matters more than ever.
This fall, District 4 and Greensboro are at a turning point. With five City Council seats open—the most in recent memory—we have a rare chance to reset our city’s priorities and direction for years to come.
I bring over 45 years of proven business experience, making tough decisions and leading with accountability, which I will now bring to the City Council. I plan to utilize this wisdom to enhance public safety and help ensure Greensboro remains a welcoming city where families want to live, work, and thrive.
Early Voting begins in just two weeks – here’s what you need to know:
I’m Nicky Smith, and I’m running to represent District 4 on Greensboro’s City Council. This election isn’t just about filling seats—it’s about choosing leaders who will prioritize our neighborhoods and our future.
Every registered voter in Greensboro—regardless of party—can participate.
The in-person early voting period for the October 2025 Municipal Primary Elections is scheduled to take place from Thursday, September 18, at 8:00 a.m. until Saturday, October 4, at 3:00 p.m. Only registered voters who live within the municipality of Greensboro are eligible to vote in the Municipal Primary Election. Greensboro precincts will also be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The following sites will operate as early voting sites:
Old Guilford County Courthouse Carolyn Q. Coleman Room, First Floor, Room 108 301 W. Market St. Greensboro, NC 27401
Bur-Mil Park Clubhouse 5834 Bur-Mil Club Rd Greensboro, NC 27410
Greensboro Complex Special Event Center 1921 W. Gate City Blvd Greensboro, NC 27403
Your voice matters most here at home.
In the last municipal election, only 16% of registered voters participated. That means a small group of people decided the direction of our city for years to come. This year, we have a chance to change that—starting with your vote.
I’m running because Greensboro deserves leadership that is accountable, responsive, and focused on the future. My campaign is rooted in community engagement and trust, not empty promises. Together, we can build a City Council that reflects our values and works for everyone.
I look forward to your support and to seeing you make your voice heard at the polls.
