Answer
Our priorities evolve based on what North Carolinians tell us they need. We use a data-driven, community-based approach called the FWD Formula to identify policy solutions that reflect broad consensus and stay within sensible guardrails.
Right now, our top priorities—based on the FWD Formula—are election reform (like ranked choice voting and independent redistricting) and K–12 education (including how to balance public school funding with school choice options).
Currently, healthcare is under active review through the FWD Formula process, and our Policy Committee is researching the issue of hog waste independently, as this is a significant issue unique to our state.
