The Town of Farmville invites the community to gather on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the Juneteenth Jubilee: A Celebration of Music & Veterans, a free, family-friendly event held at 4314 West Horne Street, Farmville Municipal Parks, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Jubilee commemorates the spirit of Juneteenth while honoring the service and sacrifice of our U.S. military veterans.
This dynamic and first of its kind celebration will feature live music, a small business marketplace, youth activities, food vendors, historical exhibits, and veteran recognition ceremonies. The keynote speaker for the event is General James Gorham, a North Carolina native and trailblazing military leader, who will offer remarks on freedom, service, and unity.
“Juneteenth is a time to remember, reflect, and celebrate,” said Linda King, event organizer. “We’re creating a space where community, culture, and appreciation for those who serve all come together.”
Help us table the event and spread the word that a new kind of party is doing something different for communities—a party that isn't left, isn't right, but is pushing forward common-sense, common-ground solutions.
