A free film and panel discussion event on Ranked Choice Voting and other electoral reforms.
Want more choices at the ballot box? Learn how some states' primaries give voters just that - more choice and more voice in who represents them. Can changing how we structure elections reduce political dysfunction and dangerous polarization? Should the system encourage – not discourage – legislators working together for the public good?
Learn how Alaska changed the rules to give voters just that – more choice and better representation. Join the North Carolina Forward Party and our friends at Better Ballot NC for a half-hour documentary showing the benefits of Ranked Choice Voting. Directly following will be a panel discussion also featuring representatives of other electoral reform organizations and political parties.
Doors open at 7 pm, with the program starting at 7:30 pm.
Panelists:
- Steve Ignac: Libertarian Party of Guilford County
- Sarah Johnson: Better Ballot North Carolina
- Lennie Friedman: North Carolina Forward Party
